La Nouba is derived from the phrase "faire la nouba," which means, “to

Both are the players in a storyline involving conflict between the two.
Six musicians and two singers provide the live music wafting all
throughout the show. Engaging the talents of composer Benoit Jutras and
director Benoit Glazer, the music undulates between melancholy and
mirth, with tinges of jazz, hip-hop, Klezmer, opera, and other genres.
The two vocalists are female and male, both prolific singers.
